*New weekly blog post. Hoping to have lighter situations like Tony Corrente last week. Starting off with a more serious situation.*
I debated including a link to the video because of how bad it is. I ultimately chose to include it because more people need to see how women are abused on a daily basis. Situations like this only hit the media cycle when it involves celebrities. But this stuff happens every day.
However, you have any traumatic experience with abuse, or are sensitive to the subject, then I highly recommend avoiding the video.
https://twitter.com/mrandyngo/status/1461311640993939458?s=21 Evan’s previously filed a police report this last October after Stacy slapped her while she was holding their child.
In the restraining order filed, Evans claimed the abuse started when she was pregnant last year, building up to this horrific incident. While she was pregnant.
Stacy has been charged with aggravated battery and criminal mischief. He initially fled after the assault but was arrested by Orlando police.
It’s been reported that Stacy’s girlfriend, who he has a five-month old daughter with, allegedly cheated on him. While I think cheating on your partner or spouse is one of the worst things you can do in a relationship, Stacy’s response took it to a whole different level. A former NFL player, who is still only 30 years old, threw his partner around like a rag doll. Body slammed her. Stood over her. All in front of their child.
This is a man trying to take dominance in a relationship after he believes his partner wronged him. His reaction is a prime example of the abuse women fear. Hopefully, the NFL uses this as a teaching moment for their current players, many of them who enter the league at a young age. As for Stacy, we all hope he has the worst coming for him.
